THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIDAY

At the beach? Or in New Orleans? I'll let you decide {regardless it is definitely summer + very warm}. What I do know is that it is FRIDAY {TGIF + thank the Lord}! It also looks beautiful outside. Have a wonderful weekend!

AND WE'RE OFF

I'm leaving on a little vacation to get some sand + sun + to celebrate a dear friend of mine who is getting married {congrats Sarah}! I'm intently praying today that the weather holds off a little bit for us, BUT we will see. See y'all next week, happy weekend!

LOOKING BACK

Just thinking back to my backpacking trip to Europe a couple of years ago. The three other girls I went with are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. I hold them in high regard + they are near + dear to my heart. This church in Old Town Prague, Czech Republic was beautiful + dreamy {in a gothic way}. Just looking back + sharing. I think of my trips + experiences often as they are always a part of who you are today {don't forget that}. Happy Tuesday!

HORIZON WEEKEND

Just returned from the beach {it was fun + relaxing, just what I needed}. We were in Orange Beach, FL + our condo was perfect. Something about the beach is mesmerizing + puts you in a solemn {but tranquil} trance. I spent the majority of time in the water, {not the ocean, too cold} hot tub + steam room + sauna {a weekend in these is crazy relaxing}. Saturday morning was warm + a couple of us took a 2 hour walk down the beach {wonderful}. All in all, loved my time with my beautiful friends + met some new ones. I'm thankful to have these ladies in my life. Looking forward now to the holidays + fam time. Happy Tuesday!

DESIGN TWIG + DOMINO

So very very excited to announce my newest collaboration with domino via Pinterest!

domino was {+ still is} my favorite magazine, + they are back in full swing + I'm beaming {+ jumping up + down like a little girl}. When they first started in 2005 I bought every issue + the stack is in my house to this day {+ I still read them}. They have such great taste, everything from interiors to art to entertaining {so much fun}. You can pick up their magazine {in New Orleans} at Barnes + Noble {go get it, you'll be drooling}. 

Together, domino + I have created a POP OF COLOR inspiration board on Pinterest, so check it out. It's a mix of domino + Design Twig + other inspiring blogs + photos that I love. Hope it's inspiring!

SEAGROVE + SEASIDE

Yesterday was our last day in South Walton {shed a tear}. We went to Seagrove + had breakfast at Cowgirl Kitchen Market + Cafe {the breakfast sandwiches are the best}. We wandered through a few shops, I went through this rabbit hole of a path {that started on 30A} + when I came to the end voila this was the view {beautifully calm + whispering}. 

Next we drove a little further down 30A + stopped in Seaside {cutest area ever ever}. They have a great little town square area with an amphitheater, restaurants, + shops. After a quick walk around, we packed back into the van + headed back to NOLA {although it's sad to leave this dreamland, I'm always happy to go home}. Happy Hump Day {envision the camel saying this, then laugh}!

ROSEMARY

This beach town is indescribable {but I'll try} it's perfect. Rosemary Beach {inside of South Walton} is about 40 miles east of Destin, FL. The architecture, shops, + beach front are amazing {really just perfect}. I stood on the beach + watched the sunset {duh, it's cheesy, but so necessary}. We visited CK's Feed & Supply store {great gifts, food, & wine}, had drinks at The Pearl, + ended the night with a dinner at Cowgirl Kitchen {best pizza + wine ever}. Thanks Rosemary, I'll def be back soon.

Today we will venture into Seagrove, a little further down 30A. Check back for more on the Seagrove day tomorrow. Ta ta.

LE PUMPKIN

So this is another Halloween excitment rant. The 90th birthday party in Shreveport, LA was a total hit. It is always so great to hang out with friends + family. I got to decorate with some playful flowers + these beautiful little pumpkins {which reminded me again of Halloween}. Im so pumped. Again two of my favorite things {the color white + halloween}.

I am off to South Walton tomorrow for a little trip. Keep posted for a trip update. Happy Monday, hope it's a good one!

BROOKLYN + WILLIAMSBURG

It's our final day in New York for CreateTech 2013 {it's been extremely insightful}. Thank you to the amazing Brooklyn Bowl for hosting us {best bowling alley I've ever been to, leather couches anyone?}. I bowled a pretty good game, then a terrible game {it's not my forte}.

We listened to some amazing people talk, topics ranged from client relations to swapping cookies {not the ones you eat} to futurism, the list of peeps is here.

To end the night we bowled, had some drinks, wandered down Bedford Ave. into a book store Spoonbill Books, had dinner at Teddys, then ended it at Union Pool. Brooklyn + Williamsburg are awesome {if you haven't been come}. So long New York.

STOPS YOU IN YOUR TRACKS

Yesterday was filled with traveling from New Orleans to New York. Once we landed, we jumped in a cab + headed to Williamsburg to check into the King & Grove hotel {it's cool}. Dropped our bags + immediately bee lined it to the L Train to go into Manhattan. First stop of course was MoMA {breathtaking}. We had an hour + ran around to see everything we possibly could {+ went to the museum shop, my fav}. This painting by Tom Wesselman was my favorite {it warms + intrigues you when standing in front of it}. We then wandered around downtown for a bit + stopped by Uniqlo for some quick shopping + then jumped back on the train to go back to Williamsburg for dinner + drinks with friends. First day was a success {woooo}. Off to the CreateTech conference for the day. Happy hump day!

NEW YORK NEW YORK

I am off to the Big Apple this week for the CreateTech Conference in Brooklyn put on by 4A's {very excited}. I'm looking forward to learning about the new technology that has come to light this year + meeting some new people {connections, connections}. I'll be sharing along the way {now off to pack, my fav}. Happy Monday!

RAIN + WATER

This weekend was wonderfully calm + thought provoking, spent with some truly great people. There was sunshine + rain {I honestly think I prefer the rain}, it's quiet, cool, + whispers to you. We also spent a good part of Saturday night mapping out the stars and pointing at planets {you forget how many there are when you are in the city} it's a whole new sky that looks beautifully freckled. The short time spent outside of {at times chaotic} New Orleans was prefect. Thank you to the Mohrs for letting us enjoy their camp at False River, and we send our best to Michael {dear old friend} you will be missed.

SO LONG CHICAGO

Chicago it has been real. What a wonderful city, the food, the people, everything was sincerely amazing! Snapped this picture using my VSCO Cam app, it's my fav, use it everyday! We stayed at the Sheraton downtown, they were wonderful. The Blog Her 2013 conference was a blast, met so many great people. AND last but not least enjoyed the Visit South Walton party, so fun. BUT alas, it is good to be back home in New Orleans, always love returning to this city after a trip. New Orleans I love you & goodnight!

LIFE'S A BEACH

Having a great time at Blog Her 2013. I'm super excited about the VIP Visit South Walton White Beach Party tonight, I've got my all white outfit picked out. It'll be fun to meet even more bloggers and continue the mix & mingle dance. White sand & blue water here I come!
